Honcho was established in Oslo in summer 1998 . They were originally a stoner rock band, with clear influences of bands like Kyuss , Soundgarden , and other similar bands within the genre. Since 1998, they have evolved more in a broader direction. It can hardly be called stoner rock anymore, but still finds well-developed riffs, two guitars and stoner rock -influenced vocals, as fertile ground for their new songs. Important to point out that the band have stated that they have moved away from the stoner rock genre.
